Doctors and nurses at Remera-Rukoma District Hospital are undergoing training in sonography.

Today Interplast-Germany has started a two-day training for doctors and nurses of Remera-Rukoma District Hospital on advanced sonography techniques a method of examining the body using ultrasound (high-frequency sound waves) to produce images of internal body structures.The participants are being trained in advanced lung sonography to help detect pneumonia. 

The advantages of this method include easy accessibility and use, no need to wait for X-ray results, cost-effectiveness, and safe use in children and pregnant women.
