Dentistry
The Department of Dentistry at Remera-Rukoma District Hospital is an essential component of the hospital’s healthcare delivery system. Dentistry is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical or non-surgical treatment of diseases affecting the oral cavity.
The department is staffed by two qualified dental technicians who provide diagnosis, management, and treatment of dental defects and injuries. The department serves outpatients three (3) days per week, operating 9 working hours per day.
The department also provides clinical dental services for inpatients, including:

- Conservative treatment
- Periodontal treatment
