The Medical Imaging at Remera-Rukoma District Hospital is responsible for providing diagnostic and imaging services that help detect, monitor, and guide the treatment of diseases and injuries using advanced medical imaging technology.Its main roles include:

  1. Diagnostic Imaging Services
    • Producing medical images to help identify diseases, injuries, and abnormalities inside the body.
  2. X-ray Examinations (Radiography)
    • Performing X-ray imaging to assess bones, chest conditions, fractures, and other medical conditions.
  3. Ultrasound Services
    • Using sound waves to examine organs, soft tissues, pregnancy, and blood flow.
  4. Support for Clinical Diagnosis
    • Assisting doctors in confirming diagnoses and evaluating disease progression.
  5. Monitoring Treatment Progress
    • Conducting follow-up imaging to assess patient response to treatment.
  6. Emergency Imaging Services
    • Providing rapid imaging support for trauma and urgent medical conditions.
  7. Image Interpretation and Reporting
    • Reviewing and reporting imaging findings to support clinical decision-making.
