Overview

REMERA RUKOMA HOSPITAL  which my fieldwork placement was recommended.

I appreciate historic and geographic situation of my institution in which I did my training.

Remera-Rukoma hospital has 171 beds and serves more than 340.075 persons divided into 12 health centers of KAMONYI District. It was built in 1927 by Presbyterian Church in Rwanda (EPR). At his origin it was infirmary, it had nutritional service which become Dispensary. It becomes hospital in 1978 by Sister KARARA. Since there it had no extension but more services have been created in 1980. It tried to build new building for maternity, clinic, pediatric, internal medicine , the offices , laboratory and emergency  

REMERA RUKOMA hospital is located in SOUTHERN PROVINCE, KAMONYI District,  RUKOMA Sector and Taba Cell approximately at 30 km from KIGALI CITY.

Dr. JARIBU THEOGENE, MD,                  

Is Director General of Remera Rukoma Hospital appointed 2015.

I was working in different hospital since 2008: Nemba, Ruhengeri, King Faysal, and Kacyiru Hospital.  The hospital is located in kamonyi district and have 14 health centers. Prior to work in  Remera rukoma Hospital, He served for for Unated Nation mission in Haiti as Chief medical officer for UN clinic.

Director of Nursing and Midwifery

 

Mrs NIZEYEMARIYA Leonille was appointed as Director of Nursing and Midwife since July 2020. Mrs Leonille was in Clinical since 1998 and occupied defferent positions, Head of Department of Hospitalization, Chief Nursing, TB Supervison, Internal Revery and actually was occupied the position of Director of Nursing and Midwifery. 

Mrs NIZEYEMARIYA Leonille has Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing from Mount Kenya University of Rwanda (MKUR).
